Treatment with daidzein (DDZ) has been demonstrated to suppress the activation of multiple inflammatory mediators linked to conditions including insulin resistance, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases. Specifically, DDZ upregulates the expression of PPAR and adiponectin genes and promotes adipogenic differentiation, while simultaneously inhibiting both the expression and secretion of MCP-1.
